A working meeting of the evaluation committee was held on 02.03.2021 and the finalists of the youth competition for an innovative business idea for starting own business were determined. 18 young people up to the age of 29 from Bulgaria were registered in the competition, and the UBBSLA team selected seven business plans to continue until the final stage of the competition. The start-up competition was organized within the project “eNEET Rural: Facilitating entrepreneurship and improving skills of NEETs living in rural areas“, funded by the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Youth Employment. Each of the project partners from Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, Hungary, Spain and Slovenia conducted the competition at the national level and the winners of the national competition will compete with each other at the International event, which will be held in Budapest (Hungary) in June 2021.

Around one month mentored by UBBSLA team, 10 young people from all over the country were involved in the activities for preparation and development of business plans. The start-up competition was based on the presence of a highly innovative and competitive idea, written in the business plan. Also, the business plans should be realistic and effective, clearly identifying the target group and way to reach them.

The Evaluation committee from Bulgaria consisting of 6 people, including the eNEET Rural project team, a manager with many years of experience in business and a young entrepreneur in the field of rural tourism and recreation, examined and evaluated in detail the received business ideas of enterprising young people.
